Vegetable Rava Idli

(20 Idlis)




Ingredients


  1. 2.5 cups rava (suji)

  2. 1 cup dhai

  3. 1.5-2 cups water

  4. 1 cup capsicum finely chopped

  5. 1 cup peas

  6. 3-4 green chilies finely chopped

  7. 1 tbsp grated ginger

  8. salt to taste

  9. 1 tsp red chili powder

  10. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  11. 1.2 tsp turmeric powder

  12. 1/4 tsp eno

  13. oil for greasing


Procedure


  1. Take a pan, heat oil.

  2. Add ginger and green chilies and toss for a min or two.

  3. Add chopped capsicum and mix well.

  4. Cook for 5-7 mins.

  5. Add peas and mix well.

  6. Cook further for 7-8 mins.

  7. Cover it with lid and cook for 3-4 more mins on low medium flame.

  8. Add spices and mix well.

  9. Add rava and mix well.

  10. Cook for 3-4 mins on low flame.

  11. Keep it aside and let it cool down.

  12. Take a mixing bowl, add vegetable rava,

  13. Add curd, water and mix well.

  14. Grease the idli plates.

  15. Add 1 cup water in idli cooker and bring boil.

  16. Add eno in the idli mix, mix well.

  17. Add 1 tbsp idli batter on greased tray.

  18. Add the idli stand in the cooker and cover it with a lid.

  19. Cook for 12-15 mins on medium low flame.

  20. With the help of knife, take the idli out.

Serve hot Vegetable Rava Idli with samber and chutney
