Veg Manchurian


Ingredients


For Manchurian Balls


  1. 1/2 cabbage finely chopped

  2. 1 capsicum finely chopped

  3. 12-13 beans finely chopped

  4. 4-5 green chilies chopped

  5. 1 tbsp. Grated ginger

  6. 3 tbsp. all purpose flour

  7. 3 tbsp. cornflour

  8. 3 tbsp. bread crumbs

  9. Salt to taste

  10. 1 tsp pepper

  11. 1 tbsp. tomato sauce

  12. 1 tbsp. green chili sauce

  13. 1 tbsp. vinegar


For Gravy Manchurian

  1. 1 big finely chopped onion

  2. 1 finely chopped capsicum.

  3. 4-5 green chilies diagonally cut

  4. 6-7 garlic cloves finely chopped

  5. 1 tbsp. olive oil

  6. Salt to taste

  7. 1 tsp pepper

  8. 2 tbsp. tomato sauce

  9. 2 tbsp. green chili sauce

  10. 2-3 tbsp. vinegar

  11. 2 tbsp. soya sauce


Procedure

  1. Mix all the Manchurian balls ingredients.

  2. See to it that the veggies stick together

  3. If not, you can add 1tsp bread crumbs

  4. Make small small balls of the veggies

  5. Heat oil for deep frying

  6. Deep fry the balls on medium high flame till its golden brown in color

  7. Take out the balls and put it on the tissue paper and keep it aside


For Dry Manchurian


  1. Take a mixing bowl and add sauces, mix well and keep it aside.

  2. Hot oil in a pan

  3. Add ginger and green chili and stir fry for a min

  4. Add onions and sauté well for 3-4 mins

  5. Add capsicum and mix well

  6. Cook it for 3-4 mins

  7. Add salt, pepper, and mix well.

  8. Add sauces and 1 cup water, bring it to boil.

  9. Add Manchurian balls and mix well for a min or two


For Serving

Garnish the Manchurian with spring onions or seasoning And Serve hot Manchurian with fried rice or noodles. ( Check out our Chinese section for more recipes)
