Tomato Soup

(Serves 4)









Ingredients


  1. 7-8 tomatoes (washed)

  2. 2 onions (washed)

  3. 2-3 green chilies (washed)

  4. 1 tbsp grated ginger

  5. 2 cups water

  6. Salt to taste

  7. 1 tsp cumin seeds

  8. Grated Paneer (Cottage Cheese) for garnishing

  9. Oregano for sprinkling

  1. Take a pressure cooker.

  2. Add tomatoes, onions, green chilies and grated ginger.

  3. Add water, salt and cumin seeds.

  4. Cover it with lid and give a whistle.

  5. Open the lid and let it cool.

  6. Strain the veggies and add it to grinder and grind it.

  7. Or If you do not want to strain the water, use hand blender and blend the veggies.

  8. Add the veggie paste back in water (if you have used grinder).

  9. Let it cook for 10-15 mins on low medium flame.


For Serving


Garnish the soup with grated paneer and oregano and serve hot Tomato Soup with Bread Sticks or Toasted Bread or Garlic Bread.. Enjoy the chilly weather with the Soup!!
