Tawa Tandoori Roti

Ingredients


  1. 1.5 cup wheat flour

  2. 1/2 cup all purpose flour

  3. 2 tbsp curd

  4. 2 tbsp oil

  5. 1/2 tsp baking soda

  6. 1 tsp salt




Procedure


For dough

  1. Take a big bowl and add all the above ingredients

  2. Add water and knead it to tight dough

  3. Cover it with a damp cloth and keep it aside for an hour


Process For Tandoori Roti


  1. Heat tawa or griddle on high flame

  2. Make small balls of the dough

  3. Dust wheat flour on a dough

  4. Roll it flat

  5. Brush water on one side

  6. Transfer the roti on the hot tawa (water side down)

  7. In 10 seconds turn the tawa upside down

  8. Let it cook till it turns golden brown


For Serving

Brush the tandoori roti with butter and enjoy with dal makhni/ shahi panner/ dum alloo (refer to our North Indian page for more recipes)
