Tamatr Pyaaz Chutney

(Serves 4)










Ingredients


For Chutney

  1. 2 onions finely chopped

  2. 3-4 tomatoes finely chopped

  3. 1 tbsp chana dal

  4. 1 tsp urad dal

  5. 3-4 red chilies

  6. Salt to taste

  7. 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  8. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  9. 1 tbsp mustard oil

For Tadka

  1. 1 tsp mustard oil

  2. 1 tsp mustard seeds

  3. 10-15 curry leaves

For Chutney


  1. Heat oil in a pan.

  2. Add chana dal, urad dal and toss for 2-3 mins.

  3. Add red chilies and further cook it for 5 mins.

  4. Add chopped onions and cook till it changes color.

  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till it turns mushy on low medium flame. (it will take 12-15mins)

  6. Cover it with a lid.

  7. Switch off the flame, one's it is cooked. Let it cool.

  8. Add the cooked veggies in grinder.

  9. Add spices and grind it.

  10. Add it in serving bowl.

For Tadka


  1. Take a tadka pan.

  2. Heat oil.

  3. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves.

  4. Toss for 2-3 mins.


For Serving
