(Serves 2)
Ingredients
250 gms of Spiny gourd (kakode - washed and roundly cut)
1 big onion finely sliced
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
1.5 - 2 tsp dry mango powder
kasuri methi for garnishing
Procedure
Heat oil in a pan.
Add onions and sauté it for 6-7 mins on low medium flame.
Add spiny gourd and mix well.
Cover it with a lid, and cook well for 10-12 mins on low medium flame.
Keep stiring it in between.
Add all the spices and mix well.
Add little water and cover it again for 8-10 mins on low medium flame.
For Serving
Garnish it with kasuri methi. Serve your Spiny Gourd with chapatti and curd.. Enjoy your meal!!
