Sofiana Biryani




Ingredients


  1. 3 cups boiled rice

  2. Vegetable cut in cubes (Beans, potato, capsicum, cauliflower blanch)

  3. 1 onion sliced

  4. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste (optional)

  5. 1 tbsp oil

  6. 1 tej patta

  7. 3-4 long

  8. Salt to taste

  9. 1 tsp red chili powder

  10. 1 tsp garam masala

  11. 1 tsp coriander powder

  12. Food yellow colour

  13. Food orange colour



Procedure

  1. Divide boiled rice in 4 equal parts

  2. Take one portion and, take pinch or yellow colour and add 4-5 drops of water and mix it in with rice

  3. Similarly mix it with orange colour with another portion.

  4. You will be having three coloured rice and keep them aside

  5. Sauté well the onions till golden brown in colour and keep it aside for garnishing

  6. Heat oil in kadai, add tej patta and long sauté for a min

  7. Add blanched veggies. ( you can also deep fry these veggies ) and cook well

  8. Add ginger garlic paste (optional)

  9. Add spices and cook for a min or two

  10. Add white boiled rice and mix well.

  11. Switch off the flame and add the coloured rice and mix well



For Serving

Garnish it with sauté onions and serve hot with curd
