Shahi Samak Rice

Serves 2




Ingredients


  1. 3/4 cup samak k chawal (soaked in 1.5-2 cups water)

  2. 1 tbsp grated ginger

  3. 2-3 green chilies

  4. 1 tea spoon grated ginger

  5. 2-3 tbsp ghee

  6. 2-3 tsp roasted peanuts

  7. 1 tbsp roasted cashews

  8. Senda namak for taste

  9. 1 tsp cumin seeds

  1. Take a pan or kadai and heat ghee/oil.

  2. Roast peanuts and cashews separately and keep it aside.

  3. In the same oil/ghee, add cumin seeds and toss for a min.

  4. Add grated ginger and stir for a min.

  5. Add green chilies and toss for a min or two.

  6. Add roasted cashews and peanuts and mix well.

  7. Add soaked rice with water and mix well.

  8. Add salt and mix well.

  9. Cover it with lid and cook well for 8-10 mins.


For Serving
