Seviyan Kheer

(Serves 5)




Ingredients


  1. 2 liters milk

  2. 1 cup roasted seyian (vermicelli)

  3. 3/4 cup sugar

  4. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

  5. 9-10 sliced almonds

  6. 9-10 chopped pista

  7. 3-4 saffron strands

Procedure






  1. Take a big pan and boil milk.

  2. Add seyian (vermicelli) and stir well for 10-15 mins on low medium flame.

  3. Add half dry fruits and mix well.

  4. Add cardamom powder and sugar.

  5. Add saffron strands and give it a nice stir.

  6. Mix well for another 15-20 mins on low flame.

  7. Cook more, till it gets thick in texture and switch off the flame.



For Serving

Garnish the kheer with remaining dry fruits and serve hot/ cold and enjoy.
