Schezwan Sauce




Ingredients


  1. 1 cup red chili (soaked for 1-2 hours)

  2. 5-6 red tomatoes (boiled and peeled)

  3. 1 tsp grated ginger

  4. 1 tsp chopped garlic

  5. 1.5 tsp salt

  6. 1 tbsp vinegar

  7. 1-2 tsp sugar (optional, for little sweet flavor)

  8. 1 tsp oil


Procedure

  1. Drain out the excess water from green chilies and grind tomatoes and chilies together.

  2. Heat oil in kadai and add garlic.

  3. Cook for a min or two and add ginger.

  4. Cook for 2-3 mins.

  5. Add chili and tomato paste.

  6. Add 1/2 cup water and mix well.

  7. Cook on low flame, till it start losing its edges.

  8. Add salt and vinegar and mix well.

  9. Cook further for 5 mins on low flame.


For Serving

Serve your homemade schezwan sauce with momos and enjoy
