Rice Kheer

Ingredients


  1. 2 liter milk

  2. 1/2 cup rice (tukda rice- washed)

  3. 3/4 cup sugar

  4. 20-25 almonds (chopped)

  5. 1 tsp cardamom powder

  6. 3-4 Saffron

Procedure

  1. Boil milk.

  2. Add washed rice and stir well.

  3. Cook for 7-8 mins on low flame or till your rice is cooked.

  4. Add cardamom powder and sugar, mix well.

  5. Add saffron strings and mix well.

  6. (Flame should be low)

  7. Add some almonds and keep aside some almonds for garnishing.

  8. Let the kheer cook for minimum 30 mins on low flame, and keep stiring in between.

  9. The milk will thickens.


For Serving

Garnish rice kheer with almonds and serve hot/cold and enjoy.
