Ingredients
1cup suji
1 onion chopped in slices
2 green chilli
1 tea spoon grated ginger
Half lemon
1 tb spoon chana dal
1 tea spoon moong dal
1 tea spoon sarso/mustard seeds
1 cup water
Few curry leaves
1 tb spoon mustard oil
Salt to taste
1 tea spoon red chili
1 tea spoon amchur

Add oil in pan, once oil heats add sarso/mustard seeds.
Add curry leaves and toss for a min or two.
Add chana dal and moong dal, stir till slight brown in color
Add ginger and mix well.
Add finely sliced onion, stir well till onion turns light brown in color
Add spices and mix well.
Add suji. And mix for 1-2 mins.
Add lemon in the Water and pour it in the pan
Stir well. Cover it with a lid for 3-4 mins on low flame.

Take one steel bowl
Add upma in it
On the plate put that bowl upside down and leave it for a min
Pull out the bowl
For garnishing use grated dry coconut and fresh coriander
Upma tastes best when served with Coffee
