Ingredients
1 cup suji
3/4 cup curd
1/2 tsp salt
1 capsicum finely chopped
1 onion finely chopped (optional)
10-11 curry leaves
1-2 green chilies
1 tsp grated ginger
Pinch of baking soda
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp dry mango powder
oil
Procedure
For Appe Batter
Take a mixing bowl
Add suji, curd and salt, mix all the ingredients and keep it aside
Take a pan and heat 1 tsp oil
Add ginger and cook for a min or two
Add onions and saute for 4-5 mins (optional)
Add capsicums and green chilies and cook for 4-5 mins
Add spices and mix well
Add the saute veggies and curry leaves in the suji batter and mix well
Add 1 cup water or as required for thick consistency and mix well.
Add pinch of soda and mix well
Keep aside the batter for 20-25 mins
For Appe
Take appe stand and add oil drops in the holes
Add 1 tbsp of batter and cover it with the lid
Cook it for 4-5 mins on medium low flame
Flip it with the help of spoon and cook the other side for 3-4 mins
Your appes are ready
For Serving
