Paneer Butter Masala



Ingredients


  1. 200 gms paneer (cut in cubes)

  2. 50 gms grated paneer

  3. 7-8 tomatoes (roughly chopped)

  4. 1-2 green chilies (roughly chopped)

  5. 4-5 red chilies

  6. 1 tbsp grated ginger

  7. 1 bay leaf

  8. 2 green cardmonum

  9. 4-5 long

  10. 1-2 tbsp melon seeds

  11. 5-6 cashews or almonds

  12. 1 tbsp fresh cream

  13. 2 tbsp oil or ghee

  14. 10 gms butter

  15. Salt to taste

  16. 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  17. 1 tsp fenugreek leaves

  18. 1 tsp garam masala

  19. 1 tsp coriander powder

  20. 1 tsp dry mango powder


Procedure

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadai

  2. Add bay leaf, long, cardmonum and saute for a min

  3. Add tomatoes, green and red chilies, melon seeds and cashews/ almonds

  4. Cook for 7-9 mins on medium low flame

  5. Add half cup water and cook for 5-7 more mins

  6. Switch off the flame and let it cool

  7. Add the tomatoes in a grinder and grind it to smooth paste

  8. Heat 1 tbsp oil and butter together in the same kadai

  9. Add grated ginger and cook for a min or two

  10. Add tomato paste and cook till it looses the sides

  11. Add red chili powder and kasuri methi and mix well

  12. Add cream and mix well

  13. Cook for 6-7 mins

  14. Add rest of the spices and sugar

  15. Add grated paneer and mix well

  16. Add paneer cubes and cook for 7-8 mins



For Serving

Garnish it with fresh cream and coriander and serve hot with phulka, naan or tandoori roti and onion rings/ sirke wale pyaaz and enjoy . Check our breads section for more amazing recipe.
