Palak Paneer

Ingredients


  1. 1 kg palak (boiled)

  2. 400 gms paneer (cut in cubes)

  3. 4-5 tomatoes (roughly chopped)

  4. 1 tsp grated ginger

  5. 1/2 tsp asafetida

  6. 1.5 tsp cumin seeds

  7. Salt to taste

  8. 1 tsp red chili powder

  9. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  10. 1 tsp coriander powder


Procedure


For Boiling


  1. Add palak in pressure cooker and add water.

  2. Cover it with lid and give 2 whistles and switch off the flame.

  3. Let it cool and keep it aside.

  4. Drain the excess water and keep it aside.

For Palak Paneer



  1. Take a grinder, add tomatoes, green chilies and palak, grind it to smooth paste.

  2. Add the paste in cooker and boil it.

  3. If required, add water for the palak gravy.

  4. Take a pan separately, add ghee.

  5. Add cumin seeds, let it crackle.

  6. Add grated ginger and asafetida and cook for a min.

  7. Add spices and mix well.

  8. Add tadka in palak gravy and mix well.

  9. Add paneer cubes and cook for 5-7 mins on low medium flame.



For Serving

Garnish palak paneer with fresh cream and serve with phulka / rice and enjoy


Ishri’s kitchen Tip

Add chopped garlic (7-8 garlic cloves) in tadka with ginger and enjoy garlic flavor too.
