Palak Chaat

(Serves 6)



Ingredients


  1. 500gms spinach (washed and leaves separated)

  2. 8-10 tbsp besan

  3. Salt to taste

  4. 1 tsp red chili powder

  5. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  6. Pinch of asafetida

  7. 1-1.5 tsp ajwain

  8. 1 cup water

  9. Oil for frying

  10. Methi Sonth

  11. Coriander Chutney

  12. Whisk Curd

  13. 3-4 boiled potatoes

  14. 1-2 tomatoes finely chopped

  15. 1 big onion finely chopped

  16. Nylon Sev

  17. Salt

  18. Red chili powder

  19. Chaat Masala


Procedure





For Batter

  1. Take a mixing bowl

  2. Add besan and all the spices.

  3. Add water in batches and mix well.

  4. Make a smooth paste and keep it aside,

For Palak Patta Pakoda

  1. Heat oil for frying.

  2. Dip one-one leaves in the besan batter.

  3. Add the coated leaves in the oil for frying.

  4. Stir gently in between.

  5. Once the Pakoda are golden brown in color, take it out.


For Palak Chaat


  1. Take a serving plate.

  2. Spread the palak patta pakoda.

  3. Add boiled potatoes, tomatoes and onions.

  4. Sprinkle salt, red chili powder and chaat masala.

  5. Spread methi sonth, coriander chutney, and whisked curd.

  6. Sprinkle nylon sev or aloo bhujia.
