Onion Besan Chilla

(Serves 3)







Ingredients


  1. 1 medium onion chopped

  2. 2-3 green chilies chopped

  3. 1 cup besan (chickpea flour)

  4. Salt to taste

  5. 1 tsp red chili powder

  6. 1/2 tsp ajwain/ carom seeds

  7. Pinch of asafetida (hing)

  8. Oil for greasing


Procedure





  1. Take a mixing bowl and add besan.

  2. Now add spices and mix well.

  3. Add water as required for thin batter.

  4. Add chopped onions and green chilies.

  5. Mix well and keep it aside.

  6. Heat non stick pan and grease with oil.

  7. Add 2 big spoon of batter and spread it evenly.

  8. Add little oil and let it cook from one side on high medium flame.

  9. Flip it and let it cook from other side.

  10. Once cooked apply ghee and serve.


For Serving

Serve hot Onion Besan Chilla with coriander chutney or sauce and tea. Enjoy!!
