(Serves 2-3)
Ingredients
1 cup rice (washed and soaked in water)
1 cup peas
1 big potato (cut in cubes)
2 tomatoes (grinded to paste)
1 big onion (paste)
1-2 tbsp green chilies, ginger and garlic paste
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp dry mango powder
1 tbsp kasuri methi
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin
2 tbsp ghee
Procedure
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.
Add cumin and let it crackle for a min or two.
Add green chilies, ginger and garlic paste.
Cook it for 2-3 mins.
Add onion paste, mix it well.
Cook it, till it changes color on low medium flame.
Add tomato paste and mix well.
Let it cook further for 7-8 mins on low medium flame.
Add spices and mix it well.
Add peas and potatoes, give it a nice mix.
Add rice, along with double water.
Give it a nice mix, cover it with a lid.
Give a whistle, simmer the flame for 5 mins and switch off the flame.
For Serving
Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and Serve your Aloo Matar Pulao with Raita and Enjoy!!
