One pot Aloo Matar Pulao

(Serves 2-3)






Ingredients

  1. 1 cup rice (washed and soaked in water)

  2. 1 cup peas

  3. 1 big potato (cut in cubes)

  4. 2 tomatoes (grinded to paste)

  5. 1 big onion (paste)

  6. 1-2 tbsp green chilies, ginger and garlic paste

  7. Salt to taste

  8. 1 tsp red chili powder

  9. 1 tsp coriander powder

  10. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  11. 1 tbsp kasuri methi

  12. 1 tsp garam masala

  13. 1 tsp cumin

  14. 2 tbsp ghee


Procedure






  1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.

  2. Add cumin and let it crackle for a min or two.

  3. Add green chilies, ginger and garlic paste.

  4. Cook it for 2-3 mins.

  5. Add onion paste, mix it well.

  6. Cook it, till it changes color on low medium flame.

  7. Add tomato paste and mix well.

  8. Let it cook further for 7-8 mins on low medium flame.

  9. Add spices and mix it well.

  10. Add peas and potatoes, give it a nice mix.

  11. Add rice, along with double water.

  12. Give it a nice mix, cover it with a lid.

  13. Give a whistle, simmer the flame for 5 mins and switch off the flame.


For Serving


Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and Serve your Aloo Matar Pulao with Raita and Enjoy!!
