Moong Dal Vada



Ingredients


  1. 1.5 cup moong dal (soaked overnight)

  2. 1 onion finely chopped

  3. 1 capsicum finely chopped

  4. 1-2 green chilies finely chopped

  5. 1 tsp grated ginger

  6. Salt to taste

  7. 1 tsp red chili powder

  8. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  9. 1/2 tsp asafetida

  10. Pinch of soda

  11. 1-2 tbsp suji

  12. Oil for deep frying


Procedure

  1. Soak dal overnight.

  2. Add dal in the grinder and grind it to smooth paste.

  3. Take a mixing bowl and add dal paste.

  4. Add veggies and spices, mix well.

  5. Add suji and mix well.

  6. Heat oil for deep frying.

  7. Add dal batter in small batches in oil and fry till golden brown on medium low flame.


For Serving

Serve hot dal vada with tomato sauce/ fresh coriander chutney
