Makki Ki Roti

(Serves 4)




Ingredients


  1. 500 gms makki aata

  2. 1/2 cup wheat flour

  3. 1-1.5 tsp salt

  4. 1.5-2 tsp ajwain

  5. 1-2 tbsp oil

  6. 1 small cauliflower grated

  7. 500 gms methi (washed and roasted)

  8. 3-4 green chilies finely chopped

  9. 1 tbsp grated ginger

  10. Few coriander leaves

  11. Hot water

  12. Oil/ Ghee for greasing

For dough

  1. Take a big bowl and add all the above ingredients (Except water)

  2. Make a hole in between, add hot water and knead it to dough .


For Makki Ki Roti

  1. Heat tawa or griddle on high flame

  2. Make medium balls of the dough

  3. Dust makki flour on a dough

  4. Roll it flat with light hands and then with the help of rolling pin. (be careful as the dough is delicate and it may break)

  5. Transfer the roti on the hot tawa.

  6. Brush oil/ghee and cook from one side.

  7. One's cooked from one side, gently flip it and press it.

  8. Cook from both sides.


For Serving

Add white butter on your makki ki roti and enjoy!!
