Jeera Rice

Ingredients


  1. 1.5 cup rice (washed and soaked 15-20 mins)

  2. 2 tsp cumin seeds

  3. 1 bay leaf

  4. 4-5 long

  5. 1 moti ilachi

  6. 15-20 cashews

  7. 2-3 tbsp ghee

  8. Salt to taste



Procedure

  1. Add salt in soaked rice. (2.5 cup of water)

  2. Take big kadai and Heat ghee.

  3. Add bay leaf, long and moti ilachi.

  4. Roast for 2-3 mins.

  5. Add cumin seeds and cashews, roast further for 4-5 mins.

  6. Add soaked rice in kadai , stir well.

  7. Bring water to boil, lower the flame and cover it with lid.

  8. Let the water evaporate, and your rice will be cooked.

  9. Switch off the flame and rest it for 5-7 mins.



For Serving ( Serves- 4)

Garnish it with fresh coriander and enjoy your Jeera Rice with Rajma/ Chole/ Chane/ Dal Makhni/ shahi paneer/ matar paneer
