Gajar ka Halwa

Ingredients


  1. 2kg carrot (grated)

  2. 1.5 liters milk

  3. 1 cup sugar

  4. 500 gms khoya

  5. 15-20 almonds chopped

  6. 15-20 cashew chopped

  7. 1.5 tsp cardamom powder


Procedure





  1. Take a kadai or cooker add grated carrot and milk.

  2. Stir it on medium flame and let the milk evaporate. (it will take 40-50 mins)

  3. Add khoya and sugar, stir well. Let it cook on low flame for 30-40mins.

  4. Keep stirring in between.

  5. Add chopped almonds and cashews.

  6. Keep some of the nuts aside for garnishing.

  7. Stir well.

  8. Add cardamom powder and mix well.

  9. Let it cook further for 40-50 mins on low flame.

  10. Stir well in between.


For Serving


Garnish it with almonds and cashews and enjoy your Gajar ka Halwa.
