Dhaba Style Aloo

(Serves 4)







Ingredients


  1. 4-5 potatoes (cut in cubes)

  2. 2-3 green chilies sliced from centre

  3. 1 inch ginger chopped

  4. 4-5 tomatoes finely chopped

  5. 3-4 red chilies

  6. Salt to taste

  7. 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds

  8. 1 tea spoon cumin seeds

  9. 1.5 tea spoon red chili powder

  10. 1.5 tea spoon dry mango powder

  11. 1 tea spoon coriander powder

  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  13. Pinch of asafetida

  14. 1-2 tbsp mustard oil


Procedure





  1. Take a cooker and heat oil.

  2. Add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and asafetida and cook for a min.

  3. Add red chilies and cook for a min.

  4. Add ginger and green chilies, cook further for 2-3 mins.

  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 8-10 mins.

  6. Add all the spices and mix well.

  7. Add 1.5 - 2 cups water and bring it to boil.

  8. Add potatoes, mix well and cover it with lid.

  9. Give a whistle and simmer the stove for 2-3 mins.

  10. Switch off the flame and let it cool.


For Serving


Garnish it with fresh coriander and Serve Dhaba Style Aloo with puri / matar kachori or matar puri and enjoy.
