Ingredients
1 cup urad dal
1/2 cup moong dhuli dal
2-3 green chilies
1-2 inch ginger
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp red chili powder
Oil for deep frying
Procedure
Soak urad dal and moon dhuli dal together (overnight)
Grind it ( add ginger and chilies too) together to smooth paste.
Add salt and red chili powder and whisk well for 10-15 mins.
Dip your hand in water and then deep fry the dal in batches taking small small portion of the batter.
Fry it on low medium flame till golden brown.
For Serving
Serve dal vada with coconut chutney as a breakfast or sambar as lunch. Refer to our south indian section for their recipes.
