(Serves 4)
Ingredients
1/2 cup Yellow Split Pea (Moong dhuli dal)
1/2 cup Red Lentil (Lal Masoor dal)
2-3 tomatoes finely chopped
2-3 green chilies finely chopped
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 bowl chopped and washed spinach
2 tbsp ghee
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp +1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp dry mango powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tbsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp asafetida
2-3 red chili
9-10 garlic cloves chopped

Wash both the dal.
Take a pressure cooker and add washed dal.
Add 2.5 cups water, 1 tsp salt and turmeric powder.
Cover it with lid and give 2 whistles.
For Tadka
Take big kadai and heat ghee.
Add cumin seeds, after a min add grated ginger.
Add finely chopped tomatoes and green chilies, mix well.
Cook it for 10-12 mins on low medium flame.
Add spices and cook further for 5-7 mins on low flame.
Add spinach and mix well.
Cook further for 10 mins on low flame.
Your tadka is ready.
Add boiled dal with water on the tadka.
Let it cook on low flame for 10-15 mins.
Keep stiring in between.
For serving
Take a tadka pan.
Heat ghee, add red chilies,chopped garlic and asafetida.
Give it a nice mix.
Add red chili powder and Toss it for 3-4 mins.
Garnish the Dal.
Serve hot Dal Palak with Roti and enjoy!!
