Ingredients
2 cup chickpea flour
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp carom seeds
Salt to taste
Pinch of asafetida
2 tbsp hot oil
Water as required
Sev maker
Oil for deep frying
Procedure
For dough
Take a mixing bowl, add sieve besan.
Add all the spices and mix well.
Add hot oil and crumple it together.
Add water in batches and make a soft smooth dough.
Cover it with damp cloth and keep it aside for 15-20 mins.
For Besan Masala Sev
Heat oil for deep frying.
Grease well the sev maker from inside.
Make a medium size ball and roll it thick.
Add it in sev maker and close it.
Now press the sev maker to make sev.
Move it in circular direction, so that it is distributed evenly.
The oil will sizzle, one’s it stop flip it so that it cooked from other side.
Fry until golden brown.
For serving
Serve the masala sev with tea
