Beetroot Ghiya Chilla

(Serves 3)







Ingredients


  1. 1 small bowl grated bottle gourd (ghiya)

  2. 1 small grated beetroot

  3. 2-3 green chilies chopped

  4. 1 tsp grated ginger

  5. 1 cup besan (chickpea flour)

  6. Salt to taste

  7. 1/2 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)

  8. Pinch of asafetida (hing)

  9. Oil for greasing


Procedure






  1. Take a mixing bowl and add besan.

  2. Add grated bottle gourd and beetroot.

  3. Add chopped green chilies and ginger.

  4. Add spices and mix well.

  5. Add water as required for thin batter.

  6. Heat non stick pan and grease with oil.

  7. Add 1.5 big spoon of batter and spread it evenly.

  8. Add little oil and let it cook from one side on high medium flame.

  9. Flip it and let it cook from other side.

  10. Once cooked apply ghee and serve.


For Serving

Serve hot Beetroot Ghiya Chilla with coriander chutney or sauce and tea. Enjoy!!
