Bathua ka Parantha

(Serves 7-8)






Ingredients


  1. 3 cups wheat flour

  2. 500 gms bathua leaves/ lamb's quarters (washed and chopped)

  3. 4-5 green chilies finely chopped

  4. 1 tbsp grated ginger

  5. 1-1.5 tsp salt

  6. 1 tsp carom seeds/ ajwain

  7. 1 tsp red chili powder

  8. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  9. 1 tsp roasted cumin/ jeera

  10. 1-2 tbsp oil

  11. Water for kneading

  12. Oil/ ghee for greasing

For Dough

  1. Take a big bowl and add all the above ingredients.

  2. Knead it to dough and keep it aside.

For Bathua Parantha

  1. Heat tawa or griddle on high flame.

  2. Make medium balls of the dough.

  3. Dust flour on a dough.

  4. Roll it flat with rolling pin.

  5. Transfer the roti on the hot tawa.

  6. Brush oil and cook from one side.

  7. One's cooked from one side, flip it and press it.

  8. Cook from both sides.


For Serving

Your Bathua ka Parantha is ready,, Serve with any Pickle or Coriander Chutney or Curd and enjoy!!
