Amritsari Chole



Ingredients

  1. 2 cups white chickpeas

  2. 1 tej patta

  3. 4 tsp tea leaves

  4. 5-6 kali mirchi

  5. 5-6 long

  6. 4-5 tomatoes finely chopped

  7. 2-3 green chilies finely chopped

  8. Ginger finely sliced

  9. Salt to taste

  10. 1 tsp red chili powder

  11. 1.5 tsp dry mango powder

  12. 1 tsp coriander powder

  13. 1 tsp oil


Procedure


  1. Take a cooker and washed chickpeas, tej patta, tea leaves, long, kali mirchi and 1 tsp salt.

  2. Add 1 liter water and let it boil for 5-7 mins.

  3. Cover it with lid and bring 5-6 whistles.

  4. Take a kadai and heat oil.

  5. Add green chilies and tomatoes and cook well for 7-8 mins.

  6. Add spices and mix well.

  7. Add chickpeas without stock and cook well further for 10-15 mins.

  8. Add stock and cook well for 15-20 mins on medium low flame.


For Serving (Serves -5)

Garnish it with sliced ginger and serve hot with kulcha/ puri/ lachha parantha and onion.
