Aloo Wadiyan


Ingredients


  1. 1 cup rice ( washed )

  2. 2 wadiya (crushed and roasted)

  3. 1 potato (cut in cubes)

  4. 3-4 tomatoes (roughly chopped)

  5. 1-2 green chilies (roughly chopped)

  6. (Grind them together)

  7. 1 tsp grated ginger

  8. Salt to taste

  9. 1 tsp cumin

  10. Pinch of asafetida

  11. 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  12. 1 tsp coriander powder

  13. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  14. 1 tsp oil


Procedure


  1. Heat oil in cooker

  2. Add cumin and asafetida

  3. Add grated ginger and saute for a min

  4. Add tomato paste and mix well

  5. Cook for 7-8 mins or till it changes colour

  6. Add spices and mix well

  7. Add potatoes and mix well

  8. Add roasted wadiya and cook well for 3-4 mins

  9. Add 1/2 cup water or as required according to you

  10. Cover it with lid, bring 1 whistle and lower the flame for 5 mins and turn off the flame


For Serving

Your aloo wadiya is ready and serve it with rice and enjoy
