Ingredients
1 cup peas
1 big potato (cut in cubes)
4-5 tomatoes (roughly chopped)
2-3 green chilies (roughly chopped)
1 tsp grated ginger
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp dry mango powder
1 tbsp kasuri methi
Pinch of asafetida
1 tsp cumin
1 tbsp oil
Procedure
Grind tomatoes and chilies together and keep it aside.
Take a cooker, heat oil.
Add cumin, ginger and asafetida and saute for 2-3 mins.
Add tomato paste and mix well.
Add spices and cook till it changes colour.
Add potato and cook further for 8-9 mins.
Add peas and mix well.
Add 3/4 cup water or as required for curry.
Cover it with lid.
Give 2 whistles and cook for 4-5 mins on low flame.
For Serving (serves- 4)
Serve hot aloo matar with rice or phulka and enjoy
