Aloo Matar ki Sabzi




Ingredients

  1. 1 cup peas

  2. 1 big potato (cut in cubes)

  3. 4-5 tomatoes (roughly chopped)

  4. 2-3 green chilies (roughly chopped)

  5. 1 tsp grated ginger

  6. Salt to taste

  7. 1 tsp red chili powder

  8. 1 tsp coriander powder

  9. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  10. 1 tbsp kasuri methi

  11. Pinch of asafetida

  12. 1 tsp cumin

  13. 1 tbsp oil


Procedure

  1. Grind tomatoes and chilies together and keep it aside.

  2. Take a cooker, heat oil.

  3. Add cumin, ginger and asafetida and saute for 2-3 mins.

  4. Add tomato paste and mix well.

  5. Add spices and cook till it changes colour.

  6. Add potato and cook further for 8-9 mins.

  7. Add peas and mix well.

  8. Add 3/4 cup water or as required for curry.

  9. Cover it with lid.

  10. Give 2 whistles and cook for 4-5 mins on low flame.


For Serving (serves- 4)

Serve hot aloo matar with rice or phulka and enjoy
